Prati di Cottanello and La Cappelletta

Sabina Walking Circle Walk 21

We will start the walk at the Prati di Cottanello - near the abandoned village -
at 09.45 am and it will take us up the the Cappelletta
built by Pope Clement XI to celebrate St Francis in 1712.

The walk, on footpaths, is about 10km long and should take about 4.5 hours
- so bring a pack lunch for the midway stop at the Cappelletta.

The walk is mostly easy, but there is a steeper section, mostly through woodland,
as we walk up 400 metres (over about 1km) to the Cappelletta and back down again.

Please note that, in fairness to the majority who arrive on time,
we will not wait for latecomers
