Around Montasola

Despite the poor weather forecast, the day started dry and at 10.15 precisely we set off on the walk.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves despite barking dogs, the numerous gun shots of the hunters and the worry of meeting a large wild boar that a group of about 20 hunters had shot. wounded and then lost in the woods. However we survived all of this and a chance meeting with a flock of goats being herded across the road near Fonte Vecchio by a young lad who showed himself to be as sure footed as his wards as he shot up the slope after them.

We got back home to a lunch of soup (provided by Sheri) and pizza (provided by Carla) about 20 minutes before it started to rain - what timing!!!
